Cold Finish Process
The mother hollow produced from the piercer, after surface treatment, is pointed on one end, and then drawn over plug through a die on a Draw Bench. The relative movement between stationary plug and the tube being pulled, results in a controlled elastic deformation of the steel, in room temperature. Consequently, the tube is reduced with a high degree of accuracy to the desired outer diameter and wall thickness. Next, the drawn tube is heat-treated in a controlled atmosphere to achieve the required surface and mechanical properties. Finally, the tube is straightened and quality checks like Hydrostatic Testing, Eddy Current Testing and Visual Dimensional Inspection are carried out to ensure that the final finished product meets the required specifications within the dimensional tolerances. After this, the pipe batch moves for final chemical and mechanical tests.

Our precision seamless tubes for the automotive industry are produced using advanced cold drawing processes, adhering to ISO 8535-1 standards. Materials such as E235, E255, and E355 are delivered in NBK condition, ensuring high quality and consistency. The tubes are exclusively made from fully aluminum-killed steel to prevent aging-related issues like embrittlement and cracking.
